Found Art - Construction Sculpture

These crosses are made with found and discarded materials.  There is deep meaning behind the reclamation of that which was left to corruption and natural decay.  What was once cast off as without worth has been made into a symbol of deep significance to the artist.  For, it is through the sacrifice made upon a cross that man is not left to corruption and decay but may find new life.

In another vein, the materials used in the crosses symbolize the desolation of the earth entrusted to man's care.  There is something inspiring in taking things cast off - items serving only to pollute the earth - and making them into art - infusing them with meaning and worth.
